Heather and Francis arrived at Hangar 21 South ready for their big day. Ensuring the bride and groom didn’t see each other before the aisle, Heather and her bridesmaids posed for photos inside while the guys stayed outside. Each bridesmaid wore different shades and styled of a mauve dress, and Heather wore a strapless, lace gown. With bouquets in hand the girls gathered around the bride and showered her with compliments while the photographer snapped away. Once guests started arriving, both parties hid away until it was ceremony time.
Guests signed Francis and Heather’s guest book and entered the side courtyard into the ceremony. A circular arch decorated with white flowers and greenery stood center stage and matching florals marked the back of the aisle. Once everyone was seated, the wedding party made their entrances ending with Heather. The bride and groom were all smiles when they finally saw each other. Once together, the couple recited vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.
Cocktail hour took place on the tarmac with Crab Cakes, Beef Picadillo Empanadas, Old Fashioned cocktails, and Palomas. A photo booth bus became a popular attraction where guests would pose for a take home photo. While everyone was mixing and mingling, Heather and Francis headed off on their helicopter flight over Orange County. Upon their return, guests were seated inside for reception.
In the hangar, white flowers and greenery topped each table and black accents tied together the space. A white dance floor was placed in the center of the room and the sweetheart table was decorated with sparkling chandeliers above and flowers behind and below. Guests cheered when Francis and Heather’s flight touched down and the couple made their grand entrance. The newlyweds shared their first dance, then took a seat for toasts. Chicken Veronique or Grilled New Zealand Orange Roughy with artichoke Mashed Potatoes, Haricot Vert, and Pear and Walnut Salad was served while friends and family shared their fondest memories. The dinner menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Sierra. Glasses clinked in the air, then the bride and groom cut into their 3-tiered wedding cake. Slices of cake were passed around for those with a sweet tooth, and everyone else hit the dance floor. The evening ended with all the guests surrounding the bride and groom for one last dance and celebratory photo.
