Black and White Hangar 21 Wedding

Cheryl met Daniel downstairs at Hangar 21 South just in time for their first look. A hug from behind was Daniel’s cue to turn around, and when he did, a huge smile filled his face. The bride and groom shed happy tears and showered each other in sweet compliments, then headed into their intimate tea ceremony where family and friends greeted them. Tea was enjoyed and envelopes were exchanged, then it was time to line up for the big ceremony outside.

Guests made their way into the side patio where clouds of gypsophila and fresh flowers decorated the aisle and stage. Once everyone had signed Daniel and Cheryl’s guest book and taken a seat, the wedding party made their way down the aisle ending with Cheryl. Together in front of their family and friends, the bride and groom read personalized vows, exchanged rings, and sealed the deal with a kiss. The crowd cheered as the newlyweds excitedly exited the ceremony and headed for cocktail hour.

Cheryl and Daniel sipped on their signature cocktails, a Washington Apple Martini and Sex on the Beach, then headed for the tarmac for their helicopter flight. Meanwhile, guests mixed and mingled while snacking on Fig, Goat Cheese and Mascarpone Tarts and Fried Chicken and Waffle Bites. Before long, the newlyweds made their return and all heads turned for their touchdown. Phones were up and snapping away at the rare sighting ensuring the moment was well documented. As soon as the couple stepped out, an uproar of cheers came from the guests. After the spectacle, everyone found their seats inside.

Tables were draped in white linen and topped with floral centerpieces and a floral cloud hung over the sweetheart table. Everyone found their assigned tables and watched as the bride and groom shared their first dance. Zucchini Lime Chicken, Sliced Beef Brisket, Penne Alla Checca, Cheesy Potatoes, Green Beans, and Tangerine and Pecan Salad was served once Cheryl and Daniel took their seats. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Selena. Family and friends stood and shared toasts and the cake was cut and served. Afterwards, everyone hit the dance floor to close out the night and share their well wishes with Cheryl and Daniel.
